The royal jewelry collection is extensive. But Queen Elizabeth will probably be buried with only two pieces, experts estimate. The two pieces of jewelry would have a special value for the monarch, who died on September 8, 2022.
Queen Elizabeth, † 96, will be laid to rest on September 19, 2022. It is already known what the working members of the royal family will wear. The dress code for the funeral is fixed, after all, even death is an event for which there are protocols and traditions. The Queen’s private jewelry collection includes around 300 pieces, including 98 brooches, 34 pairs of earrings and 15 rings, according to the Daily Mail. But only two pieces should accompany them to eternal rest, suspects Lisa Levinson, head of communications at the Natural Diamond Council. Private Elizabeth was very modest, so it’s expected that she will be buried with her “simple Welsh gold wedding band and a pair of pearl earrings,” Levinson told Metro.

Elizabeth’s engagement ring — also a very special piece in her collection — is likely to go to Princess Anne, Levinson speculates. The 3 carat diamond solitaire is flanked on each side by five smaller diamonds, all set in platinum. All jewelry comes from a tiara that belonged to Philip’s mother, Princess Alice.
