Sandra Kuhn can look forward to a promotion. As the new "Explosiv Weekend" main presenter, she succeeds Nazan Eckes.
"It all started as a temporary worker," writes TV presenter Sandra Kuhn (38) on Instagram. Since 2017 she has been a permanent member of the RTL boulevard show "Explosiv – Das Magazin". Now she can write another job title on the flag: She is the new main presenter of the weekend edition "Explosiv Weekend" and is following in the footsteps of colleague Nazan Eckes (44).
A dream becomes true
According to Kuhn, it is "really a dream" that is coming true. "I loved this show as a teenager and am a huge fan to this day," she writes. Sometimes the 38-year-old could not believe "that I can now line up behind TV greats like Barbara Eligmann, Markus Lanz & Nazan Eckes …"
Eckes has been leading the RTL program since 2005, but took over the main moderation of "Extra – das RTL-Magazin" in December 2019. This was previously the hobbyhorse of TV presenter Birgit Schrowange (62), who said goodbye with the takeover of the TV pension, for 25 years.
