Olivier de Bavinchove, lieutenant general (2S, for 2e section, which means that he is no longer in the active army, without being retired), was notably deployed in Afghanistan from 2011 to 2013 as Chief of Staff of Isaf, the international force of NATO, and commander of the French forces. There he coordinated the action of 150,000 men, including 100,000 Americans. One year after the armed aggression of Ukraine by Russia, he delivers here his analysis of the war and describes the perspectives of the conflict for the months to come.
