The weapons ban zone in Vienna-Favoriten in response to several bloody crimes in the area will be extended beyond the summer, according to reports from the Interior Ministry. The extension will be by three months, i.e. until September.
The regulation would otherwise have expired at the end of June. The weapons ban has been in effect since March 30th. In addition to classic weapons, carrying other dangerous objects that are suitable for “exerting violence against people or things” is also prohibited.
