According to the police, around 100 firefighters were on duty during the extinguishing work, which lasted several hours. The fire brigade had to remove the roof of the building. The building threatened to collapse during the fire.

The cause of the fire is unknown and is being investigated by the fire investigation service of the Zurich cantonal police.

Smoke development no longer dangerous
