The legal soap opera concerning Ezra Miller continues. According to NBC News, The Flash star will plead guilty to a burglary case.
The facts took place in the state of Vermont last May. Ezra Miller reportedly broke into a Stamford home to steal liquor bottles.
A Vermont Superior Court clerk confirmed the 30-year-old comedian had reached a settlement with the prosecution. Miller would have to plead guilty to have his sentence reduced.
Thus, he would no longer incur 25 years of imprisonment but could get away with a 3-month suspended prison sentence, one year of probation and a $500 fine.
In recent years, Ezra Miller has been involved in several legal cases, multiplying the escapades jeopardizing his career. Recently, he had expressed the wish to do everything to get out of it.
“I recently went through a period of intense crisis. I now understood that I suffered from serious mental problems and that I had to treat myself. So I started treatment”he entrusted to the microphone of Variety in August 2022.
“I want to apologize to everyone I have worried and upset because of my behavior,” he continued. “I am committed to doing the work necessary to return to better mental health and to have a healthy and productive life”concluded Ezra Miller.
By breaking the silence, the artist has apparently regained the trust of Warner Bros, which is counting on him for the release of The Flash on June 14, 2023. Will these apologies and this duty of care be enough for the comedian to be rehabilitated in Hollywood? Only time will tell.
