“F *** you, idiot!”: Haaland messes with all of Frankfurt

“F *** you, idiot!”
Haaland takes on all of Frankfurt

Erling Haaland is again without a goal against Eintracht Frankfurt. The BVB star, flirting with a farewell, is still making headlines. His wild exchange with Frankfurt’s Hinteregger is only punished by the referee with a yellow card.

Borussia Dortmund’s goal scorer Erling Haaland caused a stir with foul gestures in the final phase of the Bundesliga game on Saturday at Eintracht Frankfurt (3: 2). After BVB professional Jude Bellingham’s goal to make it 2-2 (87th), he wanted to get the ball out of the net – and was pushed by opponent Martin Hinteregger. Haaland then insults the Austrian with “F *** you idiot! F *** ing idiot!” Both players were cautioned by referee Robert Schröder with a yellow card.

“It wasn’t just Erling who was involved, there were several people who had something to say. It was an emotional game,” said BVB coach Marco Rose after the game. “I wasn’t there live and I don’t want to say who is to blame or not.” All got away unharmed. “Nobody got a red card. I’m particularly happy for Erling,” he said.

In stoppage time, Haaland also took on Frankfurt’s double goalscorer Rafael Borré. After he had been kicked several times by him, the 21-year-old Norwegian stood in front of Borré, first hit his chest with his fists and then grabbed his legs. Even after the game, the Norwegian had a few differences of opinion on the pitch, but ultimately went into the dressing room without a penalty.

Haaland stayed against Frankfurt for the first time this season in a BVB victory with his participation without a goal of his own. The peat factory has almost come to a standstill in the last four Bundesliga games. Only in the 3-0 win over the knocked-down Greuther Fürth, he managed a double with a penalty and a header. The much sought-after star of Dortmund Borussia was also rarely in promising final positions in the games against Bochum, Fürth, Hertha and now Frankfurt.
