F1 22: cross-play will arrive at the end of August, two dated betas

While the real pilots are currently on vacation until the end of the month, the virtual pilots continue to drive without stopping in F1 22in single player, but also in online multiplayer. Codemasters and EA Games confirm today that the cross play will be added in Augustbut before that, they have a few things to test.

The studios give us an appointment from August 5 to 7 then from August 12 to 14 to participate in two beta phasesto try this cross play in fashions Social Race and Two Player Career. Electronic Arts explains that this feature will improve the matchmaking and will obviously allow you to compete with friends, regardless of the platform. You can still deactivate the option to continue playing only with and against players with the same platform as you. Lee Mather, Senior Creative Director of F1 at the house of Codemastersadds:

Cross-play brings all our players together and allows them to decide who is the best pilot on all platforms. Cross-play also allows us to create better matchmaking opportunities so players can race against other pilots with similar skills.

the cross play will mix PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC players (Steam and Origin), and it will normally arrive at the end of the month in F1 22. As a reminder, the racing game was entitled to a free update adding the Portimao circuit recently, and you can find F1 22 at €59.99 on Amazon.
