Died on April 13, 2022 at the age of 96, Michel Bouquet was entitled to a national tribute on Wednesday April 27, 2022 at the Invalides. For the occasion, Muriel Robin, Fabrice Luchini and Pierre Arditi made the trip, as did Emmanuel Macron.
Emblematic figure of French cinema, comedian Michel Bouquet died on April 13, 2022, at the age of 96. In order to salute his immense career, the companion of Juliette Carré was entitled to a national tribute Wednesday April 27, 2022 at the Invalides. His eulogy was pronounced by Emmanuel Macron, newly re-elected President of the Republic for the next 5 years. For the record, this is the first public outing of the head of state since his re-election against Marine Le Pen on Sunday April 24, 2022. Broadcast live on all news channels continuously, with the notable exception of CNews, this event was open to the public.
Thus, many moviegoers were able to go there, in order to salute the memory of Michel Bouquet one last time. In addition to the family and loved ones of the late actor, several personalities from the world of cinema and theater also made the trip to the Hôtel des Invalides, in order to pay a last tribute to the one whose name will remain forever engraved in the Pantheon of French comedy. During this famous ceremony, certain celebrities such as Fabrice Luchini, Pierre Arditi, or even Muriel Robintook the floor. Having been a pupil of Michel Bouquet during his time at the Conservatory, Anne Le Nen’s companion delivered a moving speech, during which she could not hold back her tears.

Finally, this national tribute was truly worthy of Michel Bouquet’s career. For the record, the actor has shown success in front of the cameras, but also on stage. He has notably exercised his talents as an actor in cult works such as: The Miser by Moliere, The bride was in black by François Truffaut, or even The Walker of the Champ-de-Mars by Robert Guédiguian. Having worked as an actor for 75 long years, Michel Bouquet had the opportunity to work with cinema legends such as: Anne Fontaine, Claude Chabrol, Robert Hossein etc. In addition, the actor has chained roles in the theater, alternating the great classics and more contemporary plays.
