Apparently, a dispute between two young people escalated on Thursday around 5:50 p.m. on Quellenstrasse in Vienna-Favoriten. In the course of a war of words, a 16-year-old boy is said to have pulled out his carpet knife and stabbed the person opposite. The 17-year-old victim is now in the hospital.
Police officers from the Favoriten city police command were alerted by a 16-year-old who had observed how a boy (16) is said to have stabbed his victim with a carpet knife on the street. After his attack, the suspect is said to have fled. The victim, who suffered injuries to his face, was able to give the officials the name of the suspect. In this way, the residential address could be determined and a fixed framework order obtained from the Vienna public prosecutor’s office. The alleged perpetrator was arrested a short time later in his apartment. A carpet knife was also found at the scene. However, the 16-year-old refused to testify. So far, the wounded 17-year-old has not been questioned because he is in the hospital.
