Your Facebook username and passwords are valuable loot for cybercriminals. To get hold of them, they tend to use malware-infected apps. According to the latest findings, there are currently over 400 such apps on both Android and Apple devices. Millions of users are affected by the data theft.
A Facebook blog post revealed that the apps were found during a security investigation. The applications come from the areas of image processing, mobile games, VPN, lifestyle and business and look like inconspicuous programs. To use the apps, you need to log in with your Facebook data.
