Our concern is that the eighty-two recommendations from these testimonies do not fall into oblivion.
At the end of these three years of work, the Ciivise has not only become “a space of expression for adult or child victims”, but also a place of trust where the words of victims can be heard and considered. In the current state of the French system of protection against domestic violence, for many victims, the Ciivise is the last place where their words can be taken into account by an institutional structure.
Doubt hanging over the telephone line
According to certain testimonies, this moment of listening offered by the Ciivise is an important step, a starting point for their reconstruction. In this regard, the presence of an institutional representative and, in particular, a magistrate at the head of this commission represents real support for the victims, and in a symbolic way.
