You need:

  • 1 x nourishing ingredient

Nourishing ingredients for a facial peeling

  • Coconut oil: Provides moisture and has an antimicrobial effect. Is particularly suitable for sensitive and dry skin! Melt the oil before use.

Exfoliating ingredients for a face scrub

  • Sugar: Fine sugar (also raw cane sugar) is best suited here. Sugar ensures a gentle facial peeling.

Facial peeling: effect

Clogged pores lead to pimples and blackheads. Reasons for clogged pores can be:

  • Natural sebum production
  • cosmetics

A facial scrub tries to counteract the blemishes by:

  • Dead skin cells and sebum removed
  • Thoroughly cleanses the pores
  • The blood circulation stimulates and thus helps to a fresh complexion
  • Contributes to the improvement of the complexion
  • The skin's ability to absorb care products increases

Facial peeling: application

  1. Tie your hair back.
  2. Cleanse your face with a cleansing cream.
  3. Spread a small amount of facial scrub on the T-zone (forehead and nose) and cheeks. Then use circular motions to distribute the small particles. Be especially careful on the bridge of your nose and cheeks.
  4. You can also use the scrub on your neck and décolleté if you want.
  5. Finally, wash your face thoroughly with plenty of warm water.
  6. Then apply a mild cream.

Danger: Avoid the eye and mouth area!

Tips for using a face scrub

  • If you use commercially available products: Make sure to use an exfoliator especially for the face! The facial skin is more sensitive than the rest of the skin, so the facial peeling should also be specially designed to meet the requirements of the more sensitive facial skin: This means that the peeling particles are finer in contrast to body peeling products.
  • Use a facial scrub that matches your skin type.
  • A peeling for the skin of the face should not be used too often, otherwise it could weaken the skin: A peeling removes a small part of the horny layer, which temporarily weakens the protective film of the skin. The frequency of application depends on the skin type:

    Normal skin

    1 to 2 times a week

    Blemished skin

no more than 2 times a week

    Dry skin

    Once a week

    Sensitive skin

    1 to 2 times a month

  • Use the facial scrub in the evening, as this allows your skin to recover at night. In principle, it should be remembered that the skin is also more sensitive to light after a peeling.
