Failed on concrete – burglars wanted to go through the roof into the cell phone shop

In recent days, previously unknown perpetrators have probably climbed onto the flat roof of a shopping center in Wolfsberg in order to get through the roof insulation into the cell phone shop below. But they failed because of the massive concrete ceiling.

The burglars first climbed six meters to the flat roof via the ventilation system. They then cut a hole in the roof membrane just above a cell phone shop. Then they kicked in the wooden roof cladding and removed the thermal insulation. But the massive concrete ceiling prevented any further action.

The attempted break-in was only discovered on Tuesday after the rain caused water to enter the business premises below due to the damaged roof insulation. The amount of damage caused by the act has not yet been determined.
