4 years after its chaotic presentation, Tesla finally officially launched the Cybertruck on December 1, 2023. On this occasion, the manufacturer obviously revealed all the details on its futuristic electric pickup, as its price, its autonomy or even its different technical characteristics.

Concerning the entry ticket, the brand gave us an unpleasant surprise with a starting price set at $60,990 (i.e. 56,000 euros) for the entry-level model. We are far from the $40,000 mentioned by Tesla in 2019, but we suspect that the pandemic and the current period of inflation have got the better of the promises of the company led by Elon Musk.

But in case you didn’t know, the Cybertruck wasn’t the only electric vehicle presented by Tesla last week. Indeed, the world leader in powered vehicles has also launched the Cybertruck for Kids. As its name suggests, this is a miniature version of the pickup intended for children.

The Cybertruck, but for children

And like the Cyberquad, the first Tesla-branded children’s vehicle, the Cybertruck for Kids risks cooling parents’ enthusiasm on one point: the price. While you can get replicas of Chevrolet pickups for around 300 euros, you will have to put on the table no less than 1500 dollars to acquire the Cybertruck for Kids!

From a technical point of view, the Cybertruck for Kids nevertheless displays higher specifications than most electric trucks for children. Thanks to its 22 V lithium-ion battery, the vehicle promises a range of 20 km. With its 500 W electric motor, this mini-Cybertruck can reach a ridiculous top speed of 16 km/h.

Note that it also has a switch, which allows budding Elons to choose between two driving profiles, which allow them to reach 8 km/h and 16 km/h respectively. The 168 cm long pickup truck weighs 72 kg. With a weight limit set at 68 kgparents will probably try to get behind the wheel…

If you ever want to see the Cybertruck for Kids under the tree, know that the model is not yet available in France. In the American market, the device has been a victim of its success and is already out of stock!
