After a Fairy Fencer F: Advent Dark Force which had satisfied RPG lovers, thanks to an improved edition of the original opus, the saga will soon return with Fairy Fencer F: Chordan ambitious new opus that should change habits quite a bit, since this time the gameplay will be more strategy-oriented. Compile Hearts and the studio Sting today offer us a new preview of the game with a long trailer, which is unfortunately only in Japanese.
A more tactical combat system
Difficult to really understand everything that is presented to us here since everything is in Japanese, but this new video quickly goes around all the characters that we can meet and recruit in this new episode, while also showing us some more gameplay footage, which as we said will be more strategy oriented.
In fights, everything will revolve around the use of songs, which will allow you to take the advantage over your opponents. These songs interpreted by the “Divas” of your team will give access to boosts, and when two songs are activated at the same time, the effect of the latter will be boosted.
The Fairize system will be back to increase the stats of different characters, while activating the possibility of launching special attacks that are unique to certain characters, with even skills to trigger in duo.
When will Fairy Fencer F: Refrain Chord be released?
We already know Fairy Fencer F: Chord will be released in Japan on September 15 on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch.
For the moment, no Western release date has been announced, so we hope that we won’t have to wait too long. We do not yet know if the title will be localized in French or not, but we cross our fingers.
