Crown Prince Hussein bin Abdullah and Rajwa Khalid Alseif appeared to the Jordanian people after their marriage.

Crown Prince Hussein bin Abdullah and Rajwa Khalid Alseif exchanged vows in Amman in the presence of the European aristocracy.

It’s undoubtedly the royal wedding of the year. Jordanian Crown Prince Hussein bin Abdullah (28) and Rajwa Khalid Alseif (29) said yes on Thursday afternoon. A number of prominent guests attended the ceremony at the Zahran Palace in Amman. First Lady Jill Biden (71) was one of the first to wish well after the marriage was completed. The British heir to the throne Prince William (40) and his wife Princess Kate (41) and many other European and international royals attended the ceremony.

These royal guests appeared at the fairytale wedding

King Abdullah II of Jordan (61) and Queen Rania (52) welcomed the wedding guests to the Zahran Palace shortly after 3 p.m. German time. William and Kate arrived early. The Prince and Princess of Wales’ attendance had been kept secret for a long time and was only confirmed by Jordanian state media a few hours before the wedding ceremony began.

Kate and William then chatted animatedly with Queen Rania and King Abdullah for quite a while before taking a seat in the back row among the wedding guests.

Meanwhile, Crown Princess Mary (51) and Crown Prince Frederik (55) arrived from Denmark. British Princess Beatrice (34), the eldest daughter of Prince Andrew (63), appeared with her husband Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi (39). Crown Princess Victoria (45) and Prince Daniel (49) came from Sweden and arrived shortly after the British heir to the Zahran Palace.

Former Queen Sofia of Spain (84) was accompanied by her husband, former King Juan Carlos I (85). Shortly after them, King Willem-Alexander of the Netherlands (56), Queen Máxima (52) and King Philippe of Belgium (63) and his daughter Crown Princess Elisabeth (21) arrived.

Jill Biden, the First Lady of the USA, was one of the last to drive up to the palace in Amman together with daughter Ashley Biden (41).

The magnificent wedding ceremony

Finally, the bride and groom reached the magnificent wedding pavilion. Crown Prince Hussein of Jordan appeared in an elegant wedding suit, his bride Rajwa Al Saif was led to the pavilion by Hussein’s younger brother Prince Hashem (18) and his sisters Princess Salma (22) and Princess Iman (26). The bride wore a figure-hugging, floor-length wedding dress, which was particularly impressive with an asymmetrical décolleté and a meter-long, detachable train with floral decorations.

dr Ahmed Al Khalaileh, the Imam of the Royal Hashemite Court, then led the ceremony, during which the two spouses and two witnesses signed the marriage contract. King Abdullah, visibly moved, sat to the side of the wedding couple. He also signed the marriage contract.

After a prayer, Hussein and Rajwa then exchanged rings to thunderous applause from the attending wedding audience. The newlywed couple then walked into a courtyard of the palace and accepted the congratulations of the celebrities present. First Lady Jill Biden was among the first to wish well.

Prince William and Princess Kate also congratulated the newlyweds, taking the opportunity to chat longer with Hussein and Rajwa than most of the other guests. Jordanian state television also showed images of the country’s streets, where the celebrations began shortly after the wedding ceremony.

Later, the newlyweds drove in a motorcade from the Zahran Palace to the Al-Husseiniya Palace west of the capital Amman. The Jordanian people cheered the newlyweds.
