Fall Guys attracted 20 million players in 48 hours – Fall Guys

Almost two years after its release, at the end of summer 2020, Fall Guys had seen, quite logically, its number of players decrease. In an attempt to give new impetus to its quirky battle royale, Mediatonic, which was acquired by Epic Games, has chosen to make it available on two new platforms, the Xbox and Nintendo Switch consoles, while passing it free-to-play.. This choice paid off.

If we hadn’t heard of the official figures right away, in the hours following this transition to free-to-play, the number of users on Steam had drastically increased, even though it is no longer possible for new players to get Fall Guys on this platform, since it is now exclusive to the Epic Games Store. But the studio illustrated this success, on all platforms, through a tweet. Thereby, more than 20 million people launched Fall Guys at least once between Tuesday June 21 and Thursday June 23.

Simply excellent numbers for the party game, especially since the Fall Guys servers suffered problems in the hours following the transition to free-to-play.

As a reminder, Fall Guys will continue to be supported, with many events, partnerships and content updates over the coming months. In order to retain the community a little more, Mediatonic is also working on a map editor. Players will therefore be able to design their own levels themselves.
