Fall in the Zillertal – animals neglected on the farm – goat killed

The police and authorities in the Tyrolean Zillertal are currently concerned with a case of animal cruelty: A 65-year-old and a woman (60) are suspected of neglecting animals on a farm. One goat was in such bad shape that it had to be expertly shot by a hunter.

The two suspects are said to have inflicted unnecessary torture on chickens and goats “through inadequate supervision, care, nutrition and veterinary treatment,” police reported on Monday.

Due to its poor overall condition, a goat had to be “hunted” by a person authorized to hunt.

Farm is being scrutinized
The official veterinarian who has been notified will carry out an inspection of the company on Monday. “After the investigation is over, a report will be made to the responsible authorities,” the executive concluded.
