“Fall on your knees and beg”: Trump ridicules Musk

“Fall on your knees and beg”
Trump is ridiculing Musk

Just a few days ago, Donald Trump gruffly handed out to Elon Musk. Now the ex-president follows up and makes fun of the tech billionaire’s companies. In a post he scoffs at a recent meeting in the White House.

Donald Trump rages again against Elon Musk. In a tirade On the “Social Truth” platform, the former US President makes it clear what he thinks of Musk and his entrepreneurial activities. When he was still president, Musk visited him in the White House, Trump writes. There the tech billionaire asked for government support for his projects. Trump describes these in the post as “electric cars that don’t drive long enough, driverless cars that cause accidents or rocket ships going nowhere”.

Musk is the head of the electric car company Tesla and the aerospace company SpaceX. At the meeting, Musk said he was a big fan of Trump and Republicans. “I could have said get on your knees and beg and he would have done it,” Trump wrote.

Trump also posted a picture of himself and Musk in the Oval Office. “Now Elon should focus on getting out of the Twitter chaos, otherwise he’ll be $44 billion in debt for something that may be worthless,” Trump continued. Musk had abandoned his plan to take over Twitter. However, the short message service is sticking to the deal and filing a lawsuit.

Musk: Trump should rather sail

Trump has been at loggerheads with Twitter since he was banned for repeated policy violations. The social network “Truth Social”, on which Trump is now active, was co-founded by him. Earlier this week, Trump dished out Musk at an election campaign event, calling him a “bullshit artist,” which means “idiot” in German.

“Elon will not buy Twitter,” Trump predicted in front of a cheering audience. The ex-president claimed to have insight into the contract. This is a “really lousy contract”. Musk promptly responded to Trump’s statements. “I don’t hate the man but it’s time for Trump to take off his hat and sail into the sunset,” he countered on Twitter. The richest person in the world recommended that the Democrats stop working on Trump so that he could not become president again.

Trump’s attacks could be triggered by statements made by Musk in May, in which he announced that he had voted for the Democrats and not Trump in the past. In the future, Musk wants to vote for the Republicans. There are many indications that Trump wants to run in the 2024 presidential election.
