Fall over an embankment – five Ukrainians injured in a car rollover

A vehicle occupied by five young Ukrainians fell 16 meters over an embankment in Kirchbichl in Tyrol on Sunday. The car overturned twice.

On Sunday at around 2.30 p.m., a 19-year-old Ukrainian woman drove a car in the municipality of Kirchbichl occupied by four other Ukrainian women (aged 16, 19 and 20) on the feeder ramp to Loferer Straße in the direction of Söll the driver came to the left shoulder of the road for reasons unknown until now. The fully occupied vehicle slid along the guardrail until it finally got to the right side of the road due to the emergency braking that was initiated and was thrown about 16 meters over the steep embankment into an adjacent field by rolling twice. A passenger was seriously injured. The vehicle came back onto the road wheels to a standstill. All occupants were injured in the accident to an unspecified degree. The driver and three co-drivers were brought to the BKH Kufstein by ambulance after the first aid on site. A passenger was transferred to the Innsbruck Clinic with suspected serious injuries using an ÖAMTC ambulance helicopter. Reports to the public prosecutor’s office The vehicle was totaled. After the investigations are completed, reports will be sent to the public prosecutor’s office in Innsbruck and the district authority in Kufstein.
