Bethesda wants to save Fallout 4 and has now released the second next-gen update for all platforms. You can look forward to these improvements.

The action role-playing game Fallout 4 was released in 2015 and Bethesda released the next-gen update in April 2024. This enabled a smoother frame rate on the PS5 and Xbox Series X/S consoles, but also brought with it problems.
Fans reported various errors (“bugs”) and there were tons of reports of broken mods for the PC version. But these are the mods that fans have developed, integrated, maintained and simply loved over the years.
On May 13, Bethesda released the second next-gen update for the game on all platforms. According to a message on X the fans’ feedback was taken into account.
Graphics modes introduced
You can now choose between two graphics modes: Performance and Visual. The frame rate in both modes should be around 60 FPS, but as Bethesda suggests, you will probably get the most stable experience in Performance mode.
You can even choose the frame rate yourself. 30, 40 and 60 FPS are available. If you choose 40 FPS, however, your screen must have a refresh rate of 120 Hertz.
Bethesda has also fixed various issues and, according to their own statements, improved the stability of the game. For example, an issue that caused crashes when downloading content has been resolved. There should also no longer be any DLC issues on the PS5 when you download mods.
