News about Amazon’s Fallout TV series is trickling in. Thus, recently, we had the right to a first official image, representing four characters. three of them wear the uniform of Vault 33 (which is not present in the Fallout titles).
Recently, Todd Howard confirmed that the series will offer its own story and therefore will not follow those of the games. Indeed, in an interview with podcaster Lex Fridman, Todd Howard said, on this subject:
[…] For this [la série]it was rather “let’s do something that exists in the fallout world“. It’s not about telling the story of a game. It’s basically an area of the map, and the idea is “let’s tell a story that fits into the world [de Fallout] that we have built, which does not break any rules, may contain references to the games but is not a retelling of the games”. That [l’histoire de la série] takes place in the same world but is unique […]
So, as you will understand, Amazon’s Fallout TV series storyline isn’t meant to be a repeat of the games. The series will offer a new story, set in the Fallout universe and world.
