Fallout atomizes absolutely everything thanks to the series

With a truly atomic crash, the Fallout series once again proves to us that a successful adaptation is very beneficial for the video game franchise from which it is inspired.

Barely a day after the release of the Fallout series on Prime Video, the games have indeed recorded a truly phenomenal peak in players. We bet even Bethesda wasn’t ready to see such high levels of radioactive craze.

Fallout games propelled by the explosion of the series

After the release of a successful series/film game adaptation, a principle of communicating vessels is always put in place. Whether it’s Arcane, Cyberpunk: Edgerunners or The Last of Us, among other excellent productions, the games from which they are based have experienced a huge resurgence of interest after their releases. History repeats itself here with the Fallout series. Just one day after its release on April 11 on Prime Video, Bethesda reported that the atomic number of almost 5 million players have launched into one of the games of the famous postapocalyptic license.

The title that gained the most was Fallout 76 with a million new players! Six years after a disastrous release, the game is now in a much better state. But its servers certainly did not expect such a massive arrival of new Vault 76 Residents. Same observation for modding sites like Nexus Mods. Their servers were also not ready to welcome so many new visitors in such a short time. The other games in the franchise have indeed recorded similar radioactive peaks. Sales of Fallout 4, for example, saw an atomic increase of 7,500% last week. The third opus and New Vegas did not do poorly either, being in the top 10 of game sales for the previous week in many corners of the globe. The bomb dropped by Prime Video therefore affected the entire planet with its radioactive footprint.

A craze with no fallout in sight, no sad losses…

The phenomenon initiated by the Fallout series should continue for some time. Remember in particular that Fallout 4 will welcome a next-gen patch tomorrow. The title released in 2015 can therefore finally be playable on PS5 and Xbox Series. Concerning the adaptation of the Bethesda franchise, it will come back to us in a second season. If it shows the same quality as the first, Fallout could therefore record a new unprecedented peak. Faced with all this enthusiasm, Bethesda does not intend to rush things when it comes to Fallout 5. For now, The Elder Scrolls 6 remains their top priority, much to the chagrin of fans.

In the midst of all this good postapocalyptic news, let us take this opportunity to send all our best wishes of encouragement to Bethesda FR, which unfortunately closed its doors in deafening silence. We wish them to bounce back quickly and thank them wholeheartedly for their passionate work.
