2024 - Fallout (Prime Video): a new apocalyptic trailer for the adaptation of the cult game

Series fallout emerges a little more from its Vault-Tec shelter. A big month before its release scheduled for April 11 on the Amazon Prime Video platform, the adaptation of Bethesda’s video game unveiled an exciting new trailer this Thursday.

An adventure outside the Vault

And these new images are mouth-watering. In addition to the beautiful visual ambition, fans will be happy to find the retro post-apocalyptic world of the original video game, as well as its comic-sinister tone. If the series fits well into the world of the game, it nevertheless offers an original story.

Here is the official synopsis: In an alternate history where an apocalyptic nuclear conflict broke out just after World War II, the survivors took refuge in anti-atomic bunkers called Vaults. Two centuries later, Lucy, a Vault dweller, struggles to adapt to the hostile world of the irradiated wasteland.

Co-created by Graham Wagner (Portlandia) and Geneva Robertson-Dworet (Captain Marvel), this series fallout is mainly co-written and co-produced by the duo Lisa Joy / Jonathan Nolan, already at the helm of Westworld. It includes Ella Purnell (Yellowjackets), Kyle MacLachlan (Twin Peaks), Walton Goggins (The bastard eight), Aaron Moten (Emancipation) or Michael Emerson (Lost) to its casting.

Small feature of the series: unlike these previous productions, Amazon will make all eight episodes of the show available at the same time, like the Netflix “binge” model. The eight episodes of the series are notably directed by Wayne Yip (The Rings of Power) and Jonathan Nolan himself.

Besides fallout, other famous video game franchises are preparing for series adaptations. Amazon is thus developing shows Mass Effect And God of Warwhen Netflix is working in particular on an adaptation of Bioshock. Video games are more than ever the new favorite platform sandbox.
