FameMaker: Stefan Raab just can't help it

Stefan Raab (53) has not dared to dare in front of the cameras for years, but in the background he is still as busy as before. After he recently launched the Free European Song Contest (FreeESC) to replace the Corona-related ESC, the long-time entertainer brings another new music show to television with his production company Raab TV.

It's all about this

Raab is the source of ideas and producer of "FameMaker". The show is to be seen on ProSieben in autumn 2020. Production will take place in summer, as the broadcaster announced in a current press release. The principle behind it? Candidates sing and perform as best they can, but they are under a soundproof glass dome. The comedians Carolin Kebekus (40), Luke Mockridge (31) and Teddy Teclebrhan (36), the "FameMaker", do not hear whether the singers hit a single note.

Based on the performance alone, the three comedians have to choose candidates. For the live finale, in which the audience should vote for their favorite, the "FameMaker" must then produce a song with the candidates and stage an associated appearance. Raab explains in the message: "Success does not arise on the vocal cords, success arises in the head. If this show had existed in 1992, I would have taken part immediately. Because I could never sing well. So, apply!"
