After an initial success less than a year ago, the detective TV film “Flair de famille” becomes a series and returns this Saturday evening on France 2. We tell you more about today’s investigation.
The Flament family is back! This Saturday, February 10 at 9:10 p.m., the shock duo from the Abbeville police are looking into a new case for France 2 in a new episode of Family flair.
Investigations carried out between brother and sister
Family Flair tells, as a reminder, the story of Commissioner François Flament (Samuel Labarthe). One day, his sister, Captain Caroline Flament (Sylvie Testud), recently arrived from Paris, joins him at the Abbeville criminal brigade.
Quickly, their deputies Marcus (Oscar Copp) and Leïla (Fatim-Zahra Alami) notice that the collaboration between these two cops with very different styles is polluted by old problems of jealousy between brother and sister.
In the first episode, entitled “Rouge sang”, François and Caroline investigate the murder of a young woman found dead in the greenhouses of an organic strawberry production company for which she worked.
First broadcast on April 8, 2023, Family flair was then an audience success: 4.3 million people, or 23% of the TV audience that evening, watched French detective fiction, allowing France 2 to be at the top of the audiences, ahead of the TV show The Voice broadcast by TF1.
After the sister and the brother, discover Father Flament!
A success which convinced France 2 to transform its TV film into a series. In the second episode scheduled this evening, and called “Desires for Murder”, we find the Flament family, who are interested, this time, in the assassination of a former nightclub owner, whose body was found lifeless in the garden of his sumptuous villa. While their investigation leads them on the trail of a settling of family scores, Caroline and François see, at the same time, their invasive father Bernard (Didier Flamand) arrive.
If no other new episode has been announced for the coming weeks, there is no doubt that a new audience success for Family flair should ensure much more than a new investigation for the Flament family in the coming months.
