Fan.at game of the round – Bergheim remained ice cold in a heated derby

In a neighborhood duel against fellow relegated Hallwang, Bergheim clearly won 3-0 in the 1st state league. Already in the first half, the hosts ensured clear conditions and then didn’t let anything burn.

Hallwang was also unable to change anything about the dream start of table leaders Bergheim in the 1st state league. The encounter between the local rivals started evenly with top chances for both sides, but the tide turned abruptly after about 20 minutes: the home side scored twice and then took the scepter into their hands. Shortly before the break, the preliminary decision was made with the third goal of the day. Hallwang coach Damir Borozni’s tough analysis was “not ready for the national league”. Deceleration after half-timeThe scorching midday heat took its toll on the players and thus also on the course of the game. The Bergheim boys cleverly played down the lead and just let the guests run after them mercilessly. In the end the result was 3-0, which means that their impeccable record remains after this derby. It is obvious that the Bergheimer have high ambitions, but the team should remain “humble”, demands coach Alexander Pilaj. Both teams were relegated from the Salzburg league in the summer. However, their developments are currently going in completely different directions: Hallwang is still striving for the first win of the season: “The will is there, but our performance is not good enough. There’s nothing nice about it,” Borozni sums up. Meanwhile, Bergheim was able to impressively demonstrate its strength and is comfortably enthroned at the top of the table. “We can expect a long season, but we want to be constantly at the top,” suggests Alexander Pilaj – but only wants to discuss specific goals internally. . An unpleasant event in the second half proves the Hallwang coach right: A linesman had to leave the field early due to circulatory problems – he felt better afterwards. After a 20-minute break in play, he was replaced by a referee observer. Thomas Schaeer
