  • After the Super League game between Lucerne and St. Gallen, there were massive riots in Lucerne on Saturday evening.
  • The police used tear gas, rubber bullets and water cannons, four people were injured.

Police and some passers-by were thrown at Bundesplatz and the train station with petards, hand-held torches, bottles and stones, as the Lucerne police announced on Sunday night. According to preliminary information, four people were injured.

There were no major incidents before the game, even if an “aggressive mood” was noticeable, the statement said. On the way to the stadium and on the way back, however, the St. Gallen fans suffered property damage.
