The opportunity for the brand to formalize the number of pre-orders for its FF 91 SUV…
Faraday Future’s electric SUV is a flop?
At the beginning of the year, the start-up Faraday Future proudly announced the production of its first electric SUV FF 91. A crossover equipped with a total of three electric motors, for a total power of 1,050 hp. go from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.4 seconds. A few months ago, the firm announced no less than 14,000 registered orders. However, the truth is a little less encouraging.
Indeed, alongside its financial results, Faraday Future has confirmed that it has actually recorded a total of… 401 pre-orders. Note that these are not firm and definitive orders, since the 1,500 and 5,000 dollars requested during the reservation can be refunded in the event of cancellation by the customer.
Remember that Faraday Future has accumulated scandals since 2016, in particular when it took contact into account in its calculation of pre-orders, allowing it to artificially inflate the number of reservations, in order to deceive investors. It remains to be seen now if this FF 91 will actually see the light of day. Answer soon…
