“Farmer is looking for a wife”: Antje kneels in front of Arne
Antje and Arne met and fell in love with “Bauer sucht Frau” in 2022. The 32-year-old moved to the dairy farmer six months ago – and now they are taking the next big step. In the Easter special “What’s going on in the courtyards?” Antje proposed to her loved one in front of the cameras. To surprise Arne, she gave him a Jersey calf with a heart shaved into its fur. The animal also wears a sign that reads “Marry me” around its neck.
Shortly after Arne sees the calf, Antje falls to her knees and makes a touching declaration of love to her partner – and asks the question of all questions. “Yes, of course, Antje!” replies the farmer, visibly moved. A little later, the two post a snapshot on Instagram as a newly engaged couple, and of course the calf can also be seen in the picture. “Thank you for the congratulations. We are now one step further,” write the lovers.
