The effects of the corona virus can be felt in all areas of life. Many companies – whether in the catering trade, hairdressers or cosmetic studios – have to close. The temporary closure has a big impact. Small businesses fear for their existence.

Uwe Abel talks about the effects

The couple explains their situation in a video message to "RTL". Due to the decision of the federal government, the Abels also had to close their café. Four weeks without income would put a heavy financial strain on the family. "That's over 10,000 euros that I can't take," said the 53-year-old. His wife Iris is employed by him and also had to be reduced to short-time work.

Iris Abel wants to find a mini job

So that they are financially secured in the coming weeks, Iris now wants to get a job on a 450 euro basis. The former "Bauer sucht Frau" participant already has specific ideas. "Yes, and if my salary drops now, I thought about looking for a 400-euro job now and if there were shelves somewhere in the drugstore in the morning. I would do something good with that.

A conflict that many people now face. The Abels don't want to let the corona crisis get them down and are looking for the right solution until they can open their courtyard café to guests again.
