Uwe Abel left this year’s season of “Celebrity Big Brother” as runner-up. In the interview he talks about his time in the house.

The introverted farmer Uwe Abel (51) has undergone a 180-degree change in the “Celebrity Big Brother” container – inside and out. After his wife Iris (53) surprised him with a new hair color on the show on Tuesday (August 24th), he returned the favor with a drastic change and had his colleagues give him a bald shave a few hours before the final.

Uwe Abel’s character also changed during his time at “PBB”: At first shy and not very communicative, the farmer managed to open up to his flatmates over time. The viewers also gave him credit for that: In the final, they voted him into second place behind Melanie Müller (33). In an interview with the news agency spot on news, Uwe Abel reveals which of his comrades-in-arms he is particularly fond of and what his time with “Celebrity Big Brother” taught him.

Congratulations on second place in “Celebrity Big Brother”! How proud are you of such a high ranking?

Uwe Abel: I am very proud to have come this far with “Celebrity Big Brother” and thank everyone who called for me.

How was it for you as a very introverted person to participate in a format like “Celebrity Big Brother”?

Abel: I found it difficult to assert myself against the other candidates because they were much livelier than me. I had to get used to it and it took some time to find my place.

In the end, they did the same to their colleagues and shaved off their hair. A revenge for her wife’s new hairstyle, which she had just surprised with her new hair color?

Abel: My wife’s hair color also played a role in my new hairstyle choice. I also wanted to provoke her once. (laughs)

Which of your roommates are you particularly fond of?

Abel: I got along very, very well with dads. Even though he’s from another world, we tick pretty much the same.

Who don’t you want to see again?

Abel: I can’t think of anyone.

What do you take back with you into everyday life from your time in the space station? Are there any plans?

Abel: If you have had to live with a lot of hardship for a while, then you come to appreciate a full refrigerator very much. Maybe I’ll write a book one day about how television changed my life. Thanks to “Bauer sucht Frau” I found my great love and through “PBB” I learned to break my protective wall and become more open.
