Farming Simulator 22 had already announced that it wanted to raise awareness of sustainable agriculture through a dedicated DLC. It is now available for free so that you, too, can cultivate the land in a more ecological way.
Less pesticide and more profitability
Launched in 2020 by John Deere (famous agricultural machinery manufacturer) and funded by the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (a body of the European Union), the “Precision Agriculture” DLC offers you the opportunity to learn new farming techniques based on Smart Farming Technology.
Thanks to these new mechanics, you will be able to experience another approach to the discipline with, as a result, an environmental score that will assess your ecological progress according to tillage, nitrogen level, weed management… You will also be able to follow the financial impact of this company by observing the costs and profits.
Fans will also have the opportunity to test new machines related to this new ecological practice with the ISARIA Scout which takes soil samples, the ISARA PRO Active and PRO Compact sensors which measure crop nitrogen levels, and the John Deere R732i which effectively fights weeds with its “PowerSpray”.
This free DLC will accompany version 1.4 of Farming Simulator 22 which will also include free content including: the CLAAS XERION 5000-4000, the ETV 216i forklift from the German manufacturer Jungheinrich, as well as various tools from the Czech company Salek, which is taking its first steps in the series.
Farming Simulator 22 is available on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series and Stadia.
