No more sweatpants and cuddly sweaters – these lockdown dresses are not only super comfortable, they also have a decisive advantage: They take your home office look to the next style level.
After the second lockdown at the latest, we know: Comfortable clothes are our best friends. Not only because one or the other has gained a little weight due to a lack of exercise, no one needs pinching pants or uncomfortable bras in the home office. But it's not just sweatpants, messy buns and oversize hoodies that are cozy – we'll show you how you can look stylish with comfy clothes even in lockdown.
Fashion tip 1: knitted dresses
Warm, cozy and super trendy – knitted dresses are currently very popular. Hardly has a fashion trend fitted so well into its time. Whether oversized in a coarse knit pattern, as a turtleneck or as a tight-fitting tube dress – wool dresses have the advantage that they can be elastic and, depending on the material, incredibly soft. TV presenter and fashionista Aminata Belli spices up the woolly dress trend with some color. Add statement earrings – and the home office look with a WOW factor is ready.
Fashion tip 2: elastic gathers at the waist
Fashion designer Victoria Beckham usually goes for skinny looks, but she also knows that things can be more relaxed in lockdown. But we don't find bulky box shapes in David Beckham's wife – she prefers to use elastic gathers in the middle of the body. This conjures up a beautiful waist in no time without giving the wearer the feeling of tightness.
Fashion tip 3: wide babydoll dresses
Originally used as a nightgown in the 1950s, the babydoll dress has made a huge development. The wide-open mini dress is an absolute all-rounder and is an absolute must-have in our wardrobe in both summer and winter this year.
The dress usually ends above the knees, which makes our legs look longer. Small playful elements such as puff sleeves, lace or embroidery give the look a romantic update. Coarse materials like denim, on the other hand, give us an edgy touch. Add chunky boots – and the look is ready that fashionistas can't get enough of.
Fashion tip 4: flowing fabrics
Floor-length dresses aren't just for boho events and proms. Flowing A-line dresses surround our bodies and have the advantage that we don't have to be careful on the couch that the hem reveals more than we wanted. Patterned fabrics also hide one or the other seat fold.
Fashion tip 5: dresses in combination with wool cardigans
Body positivity is often easier said than implemented. Who does not know the days when you are not satisfied with anything in itself. It is precisely for such days that fashionistas swear by wool cardigans. The warm knitting miracles give us the feeling of comfort, coziness and protection.
