Kate already wears THE fashion trend 2021 – and we love it too!
When it comes to trends, Kate often has the right nose – and the Duchess also impressed in a real it-piece at one of her last public appearances.
Whether super sporty in jeans and sneakers or ultra glamorous in an evening dress with glitter pumps – Kate has been one of the greatest fashion pioneers for years. What the Duchess wears is often sold out within a few minutes and has already made many a label world famous. So it is no big surprise that Kate will have her powdered nose again in 2021 and already wore a piece in November of last year that EVERYONE now wants. In short: The 80s are celebrating their big comeback – and with them the strongly emphasized shoulders.
Admittedly, this trend is brand new, after all, we've been shopping for tops, dresses and co. With accentuated shoulders for a long time, but in the New Year the designers are going a step further. Kate has already shown it and wore a coral red blazer with XXL shoulder pads in a video in which she thanked everyone involved in her "Hold still" photo project. It was this little detail that gave her generally conservative outfit that touch of coolness that so often defines the look of the royal.

We also want a piece of this royal trend in 2021. After a number of leather pieces and fringed pieces are already in the starting blocks to celebrate their big fashion comeback, the shoulder pads join the 80s revival. And best of all: the trend has long since reached the shops.
How to wear XXL shoulder pads
If you do it like Kate, you choose slim-fitting blazers or coats and you are spot on. Those who like it more casual, on the other hand, rely on oversized tops that look as if we had just popped them out of our boyfriend's wardrobe. Powersuits are a safe bet and continue to be at the top of our must-have list. In pastel tones, they dominate the coming spring of fashion and thanks to the XXL shoulder pads they get a cool trend update.
