No more discreet, in summer 2021 the fashionable dye will be digested deeply. We’ll show you three combinations that are very popular now and are guaranteed to put you in a good mood.
Everything is new in summer 2021: if we completely changed our wardrobe to pastel last year, things are gaudy again this season. Soft ice cream colors such as buttercup yellow or pistachio green are replaced by signal colors that, especially when combined with one another, ensure the ultimate fashion revival.
Does that sound familiar to you? U.S. as well! We all still remember too well the summers when we styled bright colors so boldly that it sometimes resulted in adventurous looks. And even if one or the other meant it a little too well with the motley fashion, we still agree on one point: The looks put a lot of people in a good mood. And we can use an extra portion of that in 2021.
With this in mind: Welcome back, color blocking! So that the euphoria about the signal colors does not become completely uncontrollable, we show you three combinations that will be particularly popular in 2021.
Orange-green
Orange and green from head to toe – a good mood is inevitable. The lush green is guaranteed not to go under, but at the same time it is not so gaudy that it requires an extra dose of courage and is therefore the perfect color for all color blocking beginners. Our favorite: a noble medium green to fir green. The more daring among you can, however, also use light green nuances up to neon green. With the Orange, on the other hand, we have a little less leeway. The motto here is: the gaudier the better. And if that’s still not enough, you can do it like Jeanette Madsen and add a little additional accent with a third color.
Blue-pink
It is sometimes the best-known color combination when it comes to color blocking, but also the coolest and therefore rightly represented in this list: blue and pink harmonize better than almost any other duo. That is why we draw on the full or rely on an intelligent link that combines the two colors in such a way that the overall look is a bit more subtle. The French influencer Ellie shows how it is done: The undertone of the dark red leather skirt goes perfectly with the bright blue shirt and the pink accessories – and brings a sense of calm to the look. If you are unsure about undertones, you can also use links in black, white or – this summer especially beautiful and trendy – beige nuances.
Purple-yellow
In 2020 the lilac wave broke over us and has not swept away since then. Fortunately, because at least we are far from having the fashion nose full of purple. While we were completely satisfied with this one color last year, we will provide her with a partner in 2021 who will catapult her straight into new fashion spheres. Hello, yellow! The new dream duo in the fashion world is so fresh and stylish that influencers like Leonie Hanne have long since fallen for it. The combination of a plain-colored complete look with accessories in the other tone is particularly popular here again.
