Summer is here and with it loads of looks that our editor immediately liked. Ann reveals her three favorites.
We finally arrived in summer (even here in Hamburg) and since then I have been fashionable for color, color and even more color! No more muted tones and heavy fabrics and hello fresh summer looks that definitely whet the appetite for exuberant days on the beach and lots of café visits with the BFF. In any case, my virtual shopping baskets are already full at some online shops – which is no wonder, after all, when it comes to style, the influencers are currently showing their very best side and thus provide a lot of fashion inspiration that takes me straight to a colorful high. Need proof? I would love to style these three outfits 1 on 1.
Pink is my lucky color
If someone had put me in an all pink outfit last year, I would probably have run away in protest. Well, times change! This summer, however, my holy three wall units cannot be pink enough. My favorite: this bright wrap dress in midi length and satin look by Milena Karl. It looks super elegant, cheats the complexion one or the other shade of brown and gets a real style upgrade with accessories of the same color such as pink strappy sandals and trend bags. Now a little gold jewelry – et volià, I’m in fashion heaven!
This is how you play it safe when trendy
Yeah, white clothes in summer are as new as ice cream balls in a waffle. But as the saying goes? Never change a winning team – and one thing is as certain as the amen when you get hold of your favorite item on sale: you can never lose in a white summer dress. Especially not when it has a trendy twist with a sweetheart neckline, puff sleeves and slit in the legs and looks so nice and calm in a cool linen version. Caro Daur shows me how and styles cognac-colored velvet ballerinas with XL bows to go with my favorite piece (sooo cute, isn’t it?). And a brown handbag and a gold link chain. Love it!
Summer style deluxe
Alexandra Lapp stands for trendy looks in the luxury class. Admittedly, I can usually never afford what she wears. But I don’t have to, because her outfits are just as valuable as a source of inspiration. On my virtual notepad for this summer there are now: White oversize shirt (preferably from the men’s department or straight from the boyfriend’s wardrobe) and high-waist shorts with a foulard print. Whether on Santorini, Ibiza or at home – more summer in style is hardly possible! And thanks to Alex, I discovered something else for myself: espadrilles with wedge heels. If I kicked them out of my shoe closet a few years ago, a new pair will definitely move in with me again in 2021. They not only go with a look á la Lapp, but also with white summer dresses and outfits in pink. So win win!
