If there’s one thing about jewelry that really annoys us, it’s that it keeps getting knotted. This trick prevents that – but that’s not all.

Layering jewelry has been an indispensable part of our styling routine for what feels like an eternity. Logical, after all, we can combine our favorite parts with each other and everything is allowed. However, if we have two chains of the same length, we rarely combine them with one another. The reason: They would be hanging exactly on top of each other. That’s over now!

The ultimate chain hack

There is a simple and at the same time ingenious trick with which you can wear two necklaces of similar length at different lengths. And no, you don’t need to buy new chains or have any elements inserted.

Instead of closing the respective chain in the normal way, you hang both chains around your neck so that the closures fall towards your chest. Now you attach the end of chain number one to the clasp of chain number two – and vice versa. You cross the two chains, so to speak, connecting the two pieces of jewelry with each other.

If you now pull one of the two chains down a little towards your chest, the other one will automatically move upwards – similar to a choker. So you can always determine the length of the two pieces of jewelry. And if you want, you can even swap them during the day without even having to remove the chains.

Next level jewelry styling

This works especially well with the parts that have roughly the same type of chain. But you can also combine different styles of jewelry with each other, for example a very filigree chain with a somewhat coarser or thicker one. It is only important that they are about the same length. In addition: The chains can no longer knot thanks to this simple hack – how practical is that ?!
