Never really been gone and yet the oversize shirt is currently on everyone's lips. Fashionistas carry the fashion classic up and down – and we can't get enough of it either.
There are parts that are so casual that you only want to wear them in your own four walls (hello, worn jogging pants!). Then again there are parts that are so casual that they take our look to a new style level without the slightest effort. With this in mind: Curtain up for the men's shirt aka our fashion favorite in spring.
It is an unwritten rule that reaching into the wardrobe of our loved one is absolutely permitted if there is fashion gold in the form of an oversize shirt. Fortunately, we don't have to rely on our friend regularly bringing his wardrobe into shape. The big fashion chains now have a considerable selection of oversize shirts themselves, making our fashion hearts beat a little faster.
Our favorite: casual blouses made of linen. The fabric is not only the ultimate treat on hot days, it also looks ultra cool. Patch pockets at chest height give the look an additional style upgrade. If you prefer to go for the classic version, you can opt for a cotton shirt. And when it comes to color, we also use the range in our better half's closet. White or light blue always works, but real fashionistas swear by the whole range of nudes and soft pastel shades in 2021.
This is how you style the men's shirt
Once you've found the perfect shirt for you, it's time for the styling – and it's really easy. Whether with jeans, shorts or a skirt – oversize blouses take the severity out of your look and give it the ultimate coolness factor. Important: Shop up the sleeves slightly, leave the top buttons open and tuck at least one side of the shirt into the waistband. If you like it more feminine, you can knot the front section and let a mini strip of skin flash out.
Street style professionals also use the shirt to perfectly combine sexy lace bodies or bralettes. Simply tuck the shirt loosely into the waistband of the trousers or skirt and roll up the sleeves again. Important: The shirt remains open and directs the focus further to the sexy underneath.
