Stars and fashionistas from all over the world travel to the Italian metropolis for Milan Fashion Week. On the catwalks of Dolce & Gabbana, Gucci and Max Mara, the world’s most famous top models show what will be the trend next season – it’s easy to lose track. You should know these three trends from Fashion Week in Milan
1. Glossy Cherry Red
This fall’s burgundy trend is entering the next round. A “Glossy Cherry Red” was seen more than once on the catwalks in Milan: whether Gucci, Bottega Veneta or Versace – they all present the trend color of the next season. Bags, shoes or a complete look? A touch of red is welcome everywhere.
Gucci in particular has adopted the color. The new creative director Sabato de Sarno is celebrating his debut with the “Gucci Ancora” show, and color is more in focus than ever.
2. Discreet luxury
The world of luxury is changing. While a few years ago brands and their logos were displayed wherever possible and were considered a status symbol, it is now in There are hardly any logos to be seen in Milan, they are only small and discreet. In times of “Quiet Luxury” the focus in designs is now more on quality and craftsmanship.
This season Prada impressed the most with this change. Although we are used to looking for the small triangle in which the logo is located in the luxury brand, that is all we can look for in this collection. The spring collection for 2024 impresses with simple cuts, high-quality fabrics and classic silhouettes.
3. Technology meets fashion
AI or artificial intelligence is also moving more and more into the spotlight during Fashion Weeks. In March, Coperni made a name for itself with robots during the Paris Fashion Week, and the first “AI Fashion Week” took place in April of this year – whether in design, presentation or production, the influence of new technologies can no longer be denied.
Boss impressed in Milan with the motto “Techtopia”. The highlight of the show is Sophia, a robot developed in Hong Kong, who interacted with the show’s guests and took photos with Naomi Campbell and co. The AI-inspired futuristic collection combines the brand’s roots, which embody a classic work look, with a new generation of workwear. The collection features rich, textured fabrics and chic silhouettes, with an emphasis on a clean, uninterrupted look. Individual models stylishly combine plant fibers with the latest high-tech construction methods.
