Fast electric scooter from India: The River Indie is available at a price of 1,400 euros

India is known for chaotic traffic conditions. But the huge country is moving towards the e-age with great strides. Many new models, such as the 1,150 euro Ola S1, prove this. Audi even presented a three-wheeled e-rickshaw in India in mid-2022 and the first motorcycle helmet with a built-in HEPA filter also comes from the country.

For an e-scooter in the “125 class”, the new product is comparatively voluminous. Not without reason, because the manufacturer relies on storage space that is easy to use in practice. For example, there is a 12 liter glove compartment, which complements the helmet compartment under the seat (43 liters) that is usually found on scooters.

Additional storage space is available in the form of optional suitcases that can be attached to the left and right of the vehicle. There is also a 25 liter topcase in the range of accessories. The e-scooter comes with several USB sockets in order to be able to charge the smartphone and other gadgets while driving.

Thanks to the 6.7-kilowatt motor, the electric scooter should quickly reach its top speed of 90 km/h. According to the Visordown website, the manufacturer specifies the maximum torque at 26 Newton meters. Drivers can choose from three different driving programs (Eco, Ride and Rush).

price and availability
