Fast & Furious 9: Theatrical release postponed to next year due to corona crisis

Now also "Fast & Furious 9": As the Universal Studios announce, the planned theatrical release on May 21, 2020 will be postponed due to the Corona crisis. The film should therefore only find its way into the cinemas next year, more precisely in April 2021. The US launch is scheduled for April 2, but the action flick with Vin Diesel (52) in the lead role is to be shown worldwide in the same month.

On the official Twitter page of the film, the "Fast & Furios" team posted a statement about the relocation. You know that many fans will be disappointed with this decision, but it's about the safety of everyone. See you next spring. First rumors spread that the makers would stick to the May date. After the cancellation of all other major spring blockbusters in the past few days, especially "James Bond: No time to die", it became increasingly clear that Universal would also react.
