A tragedy happened on Wednesday afternoon in Neumarkt in Styria: a farmer was hit on the head by a tree during forestry work. Any help came too late for the 57-year-old, he succumbed to his serious injuries on the spot.
At around 12 p.m., the farmer from the Murau district was working with a friend on woodwork. While the 58-year-old fell a tree, the 57-year-old was in the danger zone for reasons unknown. Emergency doctors fought for his life. The 57-year-old was hit on the head by the falling tree. The emergency medical team of the rescue helicopter Christophorus 17 tried everything to save the man. However, the farmer succumbed to his serious injuries.
