- But the end after season 2 is actually just a new beginning, as “Winx” creator Iginio Straffi reveals.

Fate: The Winx Saga Season 2 on Netflix may have been less well received than Season 1, but the new episodes have lingered on the streaming charts for a long time, making the sudden cancellation a major mystery.
While showrunner Brian Young wrote about the cancellation on Instagram, Iginio Straffi, the inventor of the world of “Winx”, now speaks up and sheds a completely new light on the situation. According to Staffi, there are good reasons for the cancellation of “Fate” and the end of the series shouldn’t have been announced so abruptly by Brian Young.
Strafi insisted on accusing Young of only being part of the “Winx Club” journey for a few years since Netflix commissioned him with “Fate” and therefore the fans’ emotional connection to the “Winx” world can’t understand.
Big plans for the future
Straffi describes “Fate: The Winx Saga” as a great success, which has once again shown interest in the “Winx” world. He’s now working on two other major projects, which include a CGI animated series. This is supposed to be a reboot, not a continuation of an existing series.
A “Winx” movie is also being planned, which Straffi describes as high-priced and of high quality. It doesn’t sound like the film would be a sequel to “Fate”, but the story should remain true to the values that are so important in the “Winx” world.
For fans of “Fate: The Winx Saga” this news may not mean much, after all, the Netflix series is canceled. Nevertheless, it was important to Iginio Straffi to show the “Winx” fans that the world of fairies will remain with us for a long time to come. A small consolation that makes you look forward to the future.
