Faurecia: Forvia aims for carbon neutrality by 2045


(CercleFinance.com) – Forvia, the world’s 7th technology leader in the automotive industry bringing together Faurecia and Hella, today announces the validation of its CO2 neutrality roadmap by the Science Based Target initiative (SBTi). Together, Faurecia and Hella will achieve net-zero emissions by 2045 – a target corresponding to SBTi’s most ambitious standard.

In the short term, Forvia is committed to reducing its absolute scopes 1 and 2 GHG emissions by 80% by 2025. Forvia is also committed to reducing its absolute scope3 GHG emissions by 45% by 2030.
In the long term, Forvia is committed to reducing its absolute scopes 1, 2 and 3 GHG emissions by 90% by 2045.

This objective represents a 90% reduction in emissions attributable to Faurecia and Hella plants and products over their entire life cycle.

‘This approval confirms our effectiveness in leading the much-needed transformation of our sector. We are constantly rethinking our products (materials, architectures) and the way we produce them,” says Patrick Koller, CEO of Faurecia.
