Faustine Bollaert in mourning: Aline, former slave and witness to It begins today, is dead

It is very sad news that the teams of Ca commence today have just announced. A former witness has passed away.

The show teams It starts today are in mourning. On Friday August 26, 2022, the show’s Twitter account announced the death of a former witness from the France 2 program. Named Aline, she was from the Ivory Coast and arrived in France at the age of 8. Faustine Bollaert and her teams paid tribute to this guest: “In January 2021, she told her heavy story, a victim of domestic slavery, she had managed to regain her freedom. Faustine and the whole team think infinitely of Aline and her loved ones”. The host of France 2 also reacted to this announcement: “We think very strongly of Aline”.

Aline had participated in It starts today to recount his past as a slave. As she arrives in France, the girl will be considered a slave by one of her aunts : “You are here in France to take care of the house and not to go to school”. Aline then gave a moving testimony: “I had to take care of the six children. I washed the clothes in cold water, I got in the bathtub and I washed. If I did it badly, I took blows. I couldn’t call my parents. When I was making a dish and it wasn’t good, she would throw it on the floor and she would tell me to start over. I felt alone, I cried every day, I had even thought about dying”.

The hell experienced by Aline

The young woman had lived a real hell : “I ate the leftovers if there were any left. I did not eat at the same time as the rest of his family”she revealed, explaining that she was also sleeping “on the ground” in her aunt’s children’s room. “I cried every day. I had only one desire, to return to Africa. I felt very alone. Sometimes, I had only one desire: not to wake up because it started again every day”she said.
