In total in 2022, five different teams shared the top spot in the HLTV rankings, but only one clearly dominated the proceedings.
In 2022, the CS:GO scene was very largely dominated by a teamwithout much surprise in view of his career over the year. FaZe Clan was the team at the top of the HLTV rankings for the longest time on the season, with 25 weeks of dominationexplains the site in its annual recap.
In total, these are 5 different teams who rose to the top of the rankings of the best teams in the world during 2022, a year initially largely dominated by Natus Vincere. Coming off a huge 2021 season, NaVi remained leader for three months. Then FaZe, building on its successes at IEM XVI Katowice, ESL Pro League S15, PGL Major Antwerp or IEM XVII Cologne, took the lead for almost seven full months.
Note the presence of vitality, which climbed late in the year to top the HLTV 3-week chart. The season then ended with the presence of two last teams, Underdogs (winner of the IEM Rio) over two weeks and then above all Heroic over the last 5, notably thanks to his victory at the BLAST Premier Fall Finals.
