FaZe Clan presents a completely revamped roster for VCT 2022

FaZe Clan experienced a rather difficult end to the year in 2021. The North American roster failed to qualify for any event in LANwhether for the Berlin Masters during the VCT Challengers, or even for the VALORANT Champions, during the VCT NA: Last Chance where the team quickly found itself eliminated by Version1.

After these events, most of the roster, except for Andrej “BABYBAY” Francisty, found herself on the bench. Shane “Rawkus” Flaherty later left the organization to join the Sentinels as a coachand during this winter transfer window, these are Corey “Corey” Nigara and Hunter “BabyJ” Schline who respectively left to join TSM FTX and 100 Thieves.

However, the roster also recruited during this winter transfer window, putting together a team that on paper, has what it takes to compete with the best. This new roster had also leaked a little earlier this week on the official VCT NA S1: Challengers Open Qualifier page on the Battlefy site. We will therefore find alongside BABYBAY this year 4 new players. First of all, it’s Quan “Dicey” Tran which joins the structure. Of course we remember him. for his time at 100 Thieves in early 2021, lui which had been tested at the same time as Asuna. Former Immortals player Andrew “ShoT_Up” Orlowskialso joins this new 2022 line-up. Two Teal Seam players also join the roster, Chris “LarryBanks” Doyi and Xavier “flyuh” Carlson. All these players therefore join the team alongside BABYBAY, the only survivor of the original FaZe roster, who had demonstrated multiple times his talent on Jett last year.

This new roster will also be entitled to quality coaching since we find Josh “JDM” Marzano as coachformer Counter-Strike player, and assistant coach, Thomas “Trippy” Schappy. FaZe who had already had great results for most of 2021, but lost a bit towards the end of the seasonhope here to offer a roster allowing them to qualify for any LAN event. The VCT N1 Stage 1 Open Qualifier: Challengers will start this January 27 and they will have the opportunity to try to get their place for the Closed Qualifier, alongside the already qualified teams, Cloud9, Sentinels, 100 Thieves and Envy.
