Bayern captain pushes the goalkeeper into the goal – goal counts

With the win at Werder Bremen, FC Bayern remain at the top of the Bundesliga table. Munich’s opening goal causes trouble, and Werder’s goalkeeper gets a clear push. Bitter for Bayern: National player Giulia Gwinn limps into the dressing room early.
The FC Bayern footballers remain at the top of the Bundesliga even after the 8th matchday. The German champions won 2-0 (2-0) against seventh-placed Werder Bremen, the goals scored by Magdalena Eriksson (2nd minute) and Katharina Naschenweng (24th) in front of 3,049 spectators in the 11th place stadium. There were concerns about national player Giulia Gwinn, who was substituted early after a blow to her right foot (83′) and then limped into the dressing room.
Munich’s closest pursuer (20 points) remains VfL Wolfsburg (19), who had already defeated bottom team MSV Duisburg 2-0 (2-0) on Saturday. Bayern dominated early in the game, although the lead was controversial. During Eriksson’s header, Bayern captain Glodis Viggosdottir gave Bremen goalkeeper Livia Peng a push, causing her to fall behind the goal line and have no chance of fending off the ball flying in a high arc in her direction. The score was also 2-0 after a corner. The Munich team, who were also superior in terms of play, could have made things clearer after the break, but they also missed the best opportunities. National striker Lea Schüller, alone in front of Peng, failed miserably when trying to lift the ball over the Werder goalkeeper.
